Especially with regard to new media, copyright law is an explosive topic, leading to many conflicts. A still recent example are the so called file sharing cases, in which copyrights are violated through the download of music or movie files from exchange platforms on the Internet, which then leads to the issue of corresponding warning notes. We would be pleased to defend you against these warning notes and the included compensation claims.
As regards the protection of their proprietary materials we consult our clients on the materials, which are eligible for protection and on how property rights can be documented and protected.
In the event of an infringement against copyrights, we will proceed to the judicial or extra-judicial assertion of the legal claims (e.g. injunctive relief, damages, rights to destruction or information).
In addition to this we prepare agreements for the granting of licenses and rights of use for our clients.
